We are looking for a structured and results-oriented Product Development Engineer for the DIP (Domestic Indirect Products) and DEP (Direct Electric Products) product areas. The role combines technical product and system expertise with project management. You will be responsible for driving your own development projects from idea to finished product, in line with the company’s strategies, plans and quality requirements.
Lead and execute product development projects from concept through production.
Develop and improve heat pumps and heat pump water heaters.
Drive projects in line with the company strategy, product plans and priorities.
Develop and integrate refrigerant circuits, heat exchangers, control systems and other components into complete product solutions.
Prepare technical specifications, documentation and decision-making material.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and technical evaluations.
Plan and follow up prototypes, functional testing and performance verification.
Collaborate closely with manufacturing, purchasing, quality, sales and external partners.
Contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes and working methods.
Ensure that products meet relevant requirements, standards and certification needs.
Engineering degree in refrigeration, energy, thermodynamics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a related technical field. Relevant experience may replace formal education.
Experience in heat pump technology, refrigeration systems and product development.
Good understanding of thermodynamics, refrigerant circuits, heat transfer and component integration in complete systems.
Experience with CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor or similar.
Experience in project management and cross-functional development projects.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar improvement methodologies is an advantage.
Good written and spoken Norwegian and English.
Structured, goal-oriented and clear in project work.

Good collaboration and communication skills.
