We are looking for a structured and results-oriented Product Development Engineer for the DIP (Domestic Indirect Products) and DEP (Direct Electric Products) product areas. The role combines technical product and system expertise with project management. You will be responsible for driving your own development projects from idea to finished product, in line with the company’s strategies, plans and quality requirements.
Lead and carry out product development projects from concept to production.
Develop and further improve products within the DIP and DEP segments.
Drive projects forward in line with the company’s strategy, product plans and prioritized goals.
Develop and integrate electrical components and system solutions into the products.
Prepare technical specifications, documentation and decision-making material.
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and technical evaluations.
Work closely with production, purchasing, quality, sales and external partners.
Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers from around the world.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of products, processes and working methods.
Ensure that the products meet relevant requirements, standards and certifications.
Engineering degree in mechanics, electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics or a similar technical field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education requirements.
Experience with product development, electrical engineering and system design in a product context.
Good understanding of the integration of electrical components and systems.
Experience with CAD tools, preferably Autodesk Inventor or equivalent.
Experience with project management and cross-functional development projects.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC or similar improvement methodology is an advantage.
Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and spoken.
