Job summary

Resthon AS in Skeikampen is seeking a passionate Head Chef for the 2026–2027 winter season, starting 1 December 2026, to lead daily kitchen operations at a premier mountain destination.

You will inspire and develop the kitchen team, manage stock, food safety, and menu execution while collaborating with the General Manager and management group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and professional kitchen operations.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and develop people.

Responsibilities

• Daily leadership and operational management of the kitchen
• Personnel responsibility for the kitchen team
• Staff scheduling and workforce planning
• Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and inventory
• Ensuring strong routines for food safety, health & safety, and internal control procedures
• Actively reducing food waste
• Managing supplier relationships
• Planning and executing events, functions, and group bookings
• Working closely with the General Manager and the rest of the management team
