Nystua Skeikampen, operated by Resthon AS, invites a hands-on Head Chef to lead the kitchen for the 2026–2027 winter season, starting 1 December 2026. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, staff, stock, and safety, while driving high guest satisfaction in a premier mountain setting.

Qualifications

• Has experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with leadership responsibilities.
• Holds a culinary qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Is a confident and inspiring leader.
• Has a good understanding of efficient operations and quality management.
• Has solid knowledge of food safety and professional kitchen operations.
• Thrives in a fast-paced and varied working environment.
• Is structured, solution-oriented, and quality focused.
• Is motivated by developing people and building strong teams.
• Communicates well in English or a Scandinavian language.

Responsibilities

• Daily leadership and operational management of the kitchen.
• Personnel responsibility for the kitchen team.
• Staff scheduling and workforce planning.
• Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and inventory.
• Ensuring strong routines for food safety, health & safety, and internal control procedures.
• Actively working to reduce food waste.
• Managing supplier relationships.
• Planning and executing events, functions, and group bookings.
• Working closely with the General Manager and the rest of the management team.
