Job summary

Zaptec Charger AS in Rogaland, Norway is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our EV chargers before they reach customers.

You'll plan, execute and improve testing across hardware and firmware development, validating new designs and pushing products to their limits. You will work hands-on in the lab and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to identify weaknesses and raise product quality.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of electronics is required.
• Practical experience with soldering and general laboratory work is required.
• Basic programming knowledge, for example in Python or C, is preferred.
• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, certificate of apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Norwegian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute test activities for hardware products.
• Configure and run automated tests for reliability and releases.
• Work with hardware and firmware engineers to investigate issues and improve quality.
• Analyze test results and identify trends and risks.
• Contribute to verification and validation strategies for future products.
• Develop new test methods and improve existing setups.
• Support continuous improvements for robustness and reliability.
