Job summary

Zaptec AS is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to ensure quality, reliability and performance of our EV charging products before they reach customers. You will collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to plan, execute and continuously improve testing throughout development.

You will validate designs, uncover weaknesses and help shape testing strategies, developing new methods and running automated tests to keep our products robust and reliable for customers.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of electronics and laboratory practices.
• Soldering experience and basic lab work.
• Experience with hardware testing, verification or validation is an advantage.
• Basic programming knowledge (Python, C or similar).
• Experience with automated testing is an advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional proficiency in English; Norwegian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute test activities for new and existing hardware products.
• Configure and run automated tests for long-term reliability and releases.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to investigate issues.
• Analyse test results, identify trends and risks.
• Help shape verification and validation strategies for future products.
• Develop new test methods and improve existing test setup.
• Support continuous improvements that make our products more robust and reliable.
