Zaptec Charger AS in Rogaland, Norway is seeking a Hardware Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability and performance of our EV chargers before they reach customers.

You'll plan, execute and improve testing across hardware and firmware development, validating new designs and pushing products to their limits. You will work hands-on in the lab and collaborate with engineers across disciplines to identify weaknesses and raise product quality.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of electronics is required.
• Practical experience with soldering and general laboratory work is required.
• Basic programming knowledge, for example in Python or C, is preferred.
• A relevant Bachelor's or Master's degree, certificate of apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Norwegian is a plus.

Zaptec is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer!

As our new Hardware Test Engineer, you'll help ensure the quality, reliability and performance of Zaptec's products before they reach our customers.

Working closely with colleagues across hardware and firmware development, you'll plan, execute and continuously improve testing throughout the product development process. From validating new designs to pushing products to their limits, you'll uncover weaknesses, solve technical challenges and help shape how we test our hardware.

No two days are exactly alike, but your work will typically include:

Plan and execute test activities for new and existing hardware products.

Configure and run automated tests for both long-term reliability and product releases.

Work closely with hardware and firmware engineers to investigate issues and improve product quality.

Analyse test results and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.

Contribute to verification and validation strategies and help define how we test future products.

Develop new test methods and improve our existing test setup.

Support continuous improvements that make our products even more robust and reliable.
