Norwegian Hull Club is seeking a Digital Business Advisor - Product Lead (Vikariat) in Bergen to shape the future of its digital products and processes. You will lead product directions with business experts, designers, developers and IT partners, delivering meaningful value to users and the business.

You will drive improvement opportunities across the organisation and report to the Head of Digital Business Development.

If so, you will be pleased to hear that Norwegian Hull Club has an exciting, temporary one-year parental-leave cover (vikariat) opportunity for a Digital Business Advisor - Product Lead in Bergen.

As part of our Digital Business Development team, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our digital products, processes and ways of working. You will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, our development teams and our IT subsidiary Instech Solutions, to create lasting value for users and the business.

The successful applicant - who ideally can begin in the role as soon as possible - will join dedicated colleagues committed to securing life, health, environment and property at one of the world's leading marine and offshore energy insurers.

This position is based at Norwegian Hull Club's head office in the landmark Skipet building in Solheimsviken, Bergen.

About the role

As a Digital Business Advisor - Product Lead, you will help Norwegian Hull Club continuously improve how we work, serve our clients and develop digital solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to act as Product Lead for our digital products. Working together with a cross-functional team consisting of business experts, designers, developers and stakeholders, you will guide a product's direction and ensure it delivers meaningful business and user value.

In addition, you will contribute to identifying and driving improvement opportunities across the organisation through process improvements, change initiatives and selected projects.

This position reports to the Head of Digital Business Development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more of Norwegian Hull Club's digital products as Product Lead;
  • Develop and refine the product vision, strategy and roadmap;
  • Engage with users and stakeholders to understand needs, challenges and opportunities;
  • Prioritise initiatives based on business value, user impact and strategic alignment;
  • Facilitate collaboration between business and technology teams;
  • Drive product discovery, experimentation and continuous improvement activities;
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, products and ways of working across the organisation;
  • Support and lead selected change initiatives and projects when needed;
  • Contribute to the development of product management, prioritization and improvement practices across Norwegian Hull Club;
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across departments and functions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Some experience or knowledge of working as a Product Lead, Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst working with digital products would be preferred;
  • Know-how from working with digital products and cross-functional development teams;
  • If you have experience from defining product vision, roadmaps, priorities and objectives, this would be an advantage;
  • An understanding of agile product development principles and methodologies;
  • Some experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions and prioritisation processes is preferred;
  • A background in identifying and driving business improvements through digital solutions, process improvements or change initiatives would be ideal;
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Some experience from insurance, financial services, consultancies, maritime industries - or other complex business environments – will be considered an advantage.

  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
