Job summary

Leap29 seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to own the cooling and mechanical package on a major data-centre project in Norway. You will drive from coordinated design through procurement, installation, testing and final handover, balancing technical depth with commercial awareness and site safety.

Responsibilities include delivery planning, design reviews, contractor coordination and ensuring timely, quality completion across HVAC, piping and controls interfaces.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering major mechanical packages on large construction projects.
• Strong understanding of cooling, HVAC, piping and mechanical controls.
• Ability to manage specialist contractors and vendors to meet technical and schedule deliverables.
• Experience with pre-commissioning, testing and formal system turnover.

Responsibilities

• Own the mechanical, HVAC, cooling and piping packages from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate design reviews, technical queries and supplier coordination.
• Manage interface with electrical, controls, CSA, and commissioning teams.
• Plan installation sequence, lifts and access, and site logistics.
• Ensure safety, quality and cost controls while tracking progress and risk.
• Deliver complete turnover files and as-built records.
