Job summary

Vallum Associates in Norway is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical delivery on large-scale data centre projects. You will oversee design coordination, procurement, installation, testing and handover, ensuring safety, programme, budget and quality compliance.

You will collaborate with subcontractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams, manage interfaces, and drive critical mechanical infrastructure to successful handover to the client.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with mechanical design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full mechanical package from design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Coordinate mechanical design activities, submissions and design changes.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Ensure installations comply with drawings, specs and project requirements.
• Monitor programme, progress and costs across the mechanical scope.
• Drive systems through testing, commissioning, snagging and close-out.
• Support handover documentation and client handover.
