Job summary

Amazon AWS is seeking a Solutions Architect for the Energy & Utilities sector to shape cloud architectures and advise on security, cost, and performance. You will interact with executives, lead architecture reviews, and drive customer-focused cloud strategy across large enterprise accounts.

The role emphasizes building scalable, resilient solutions with AI/ML, data analytics, and IoT in the energy landscape. You will mentor others and influence AWS product roadmaps through customer feedback.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Experience with presentations and speaking with executives, IT, management, and developers.
• Experience architecting and operating in large Enterprise IT environments, including expertise with corporate identity management systems, enterprise authentication frameworks, SOPs, ITSM, change management processes, and enterprise security controls.
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and best-practice architectures.
• Act as customer advocate to drive continual improvements to the AWS platform and inform the roadmap.
• Help shape the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching and mentoring others.
• Define or invent cloud-native reference architectures and share best practices and content.
• Lead architecture reviews and contribute to hiring debriefs and community sessions.
