Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to shape the future for Oil & Gas customers. You will work with business owners to solve large scale problems using AI and cloud services, crafting scalable, flexible architectures centered on customer experience.

You will collaborate across product, marketing, and professional services, influence roadmaps, hire and mentor others, and create reference architectures with the global AWS community.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Experience architecting and operating in large Enterprise IT environments, including expertise with corporate identity management systems, enterprise authentication frameworks, SOPs, ITSM, change management processes, and enterprise security controls.
• 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and best-practice architectures.
• Advocate for customer needs to inform the roadmap of AWS features and services and mentor others.
• Define or invent cloud-native reference architectures with the AWS Solutions Architect community and share best practices.
