Job summary

Cloudscaler is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer (AWS) to lead enterprise-scale cloud platforms, focusing on IaC modularisation, secure foundations, and transformation programs. You will design production-ready platforms and mentor engineers across cross-functional teams.

Travel to customer sites in London is required, with varying onsite days per week. Strong AWS expertise, Terraform mastery, and experience with multi-account patterns are essential for this senior role.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS expertise and cloud platform design experience.
• Experience with multi-account, multi-tenant or landing zone patterns.
• Strong automation and IaC mindset, with opinionated modular design.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead technical strategy across enterprise-scale cloud platforms with IaC modularisation.
• Design and build secure, production-ready platform and infrastructure foundations.
• Automate complex platforms with Terraform.
• Package services into AMIs, Docker or Serverless.
• Work directly with customers, driving cloud transformations end to end.
• Apply site reliability best practices and help shape mature security models.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across cross-functional teams.
