Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Sales and Business Development capacity.
  • Experience in technical sales preferable.
  • Prior Oil & Gas / Integrity & Maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of marketing and branding.
  • A valid driving licence.
  • Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis, and with a valid passport.

  • Drive new business sales to deliver the Business Development strategy and secure revenues.
  • Achieving sales targets within the region.
  • Identify new leads, partners and industries to generate business for ICR's Specialist Repair business.

  • Develop pipeline of opportunities with six months look-ahead in Pipedrive; keep updated.
  • Forecast revenues weekly to align with actuals.
  • Represent ICR at conferences, trade shows and networking events.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager for ICR in Norway.

During Norway's summer holiday season, we recognise that many prospective candidates may be away or taking time to disconnect. The main purpose of the role is to establish and retain business opportunities for ICR's Specialist Repair business in Norway, which includes Technowrap Engineered Composites, Quickflange Weldless Connectors and INSONO.

The primary focus for this role will be business development and will involve obtaining new clients and fostering business relationships, whilst growing the business within Norway, to increase revenue from sales. As part of this there may be an element of account and partner management involved however primarily a sales and business development role. Responsible for developing and securing sales in accordance with the agreed business development strategy, as per the annual business plans.

The role will report to the Sales & Marketing Director.


The main tasks involved in the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive new business sales to deliver the Business Development strategy and secure revenues, as per the annual business plan.
  • Achieving sales targets within the region.
  • Identify new leads, partners and industries in order to generate business for ICR's Specialist Repair business.
  • Assist in the development of a new market strategy to help determine the best approach to new markets where required, including market research and mapping as well as competitive landscape.
  • Manage key strategic accounts and partners that are already established.
  • Further develop current client relationships and drive future sales.
  • Support the development of relationships with key suppliers and partners.
  • Develop a comprehensive pipeline of opportunities with a six month look ahead and ensure this is managed and kept up to date using the company's Pipedrive CRM system.
  • Maintain and identify new opportunities to achieve financial performance of the Norway region.
  • Develop strategy, tactics, sales pursuit plans and targets for the Norway region.
  • Carry out weekly forecasting within Pipedrive, to ensure revenues in the month are aligned with actuals.
  • Identify and report on business opportunities in target markets.
  • Positively and professionally represent ICR at conferences, trade shows and networking events with an aim to continually gather intelligence and feed back to the business using the appropriate tools.
  • Develop and retain positive relationships with new and existing customers and foster positive relationships within the ICR organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for delivering annual revenue targets.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with key clients on behalf of the Company.
  • Ensure annual sales targets and strategic objectives are met or exceeded for new clients and new business.
  • Develop business in new sectors and industries.
  • Develop a comprehensive pipeline of opportunities.
  • Develop and retain positive relationships with new and existing customers and foster positive relationships within the ICR organisation.
  • Follow and enhance the Norway growth strategy.
  • Recognise and adhere to all Company and HSEQ policies internally and externally.
Key Skills, Attributes and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a Sales and Business Development capacity
  • Experience in technical sales preferable
  • Prior Oil and Gas / Integrity & Maintenance experience
  • Experience with Mechanical connectors and/or Composites would be beneficialCommercial awareness and negotiation skills
