Job summary

Alfen is seeking a Technical Trainer to develop and deliver service training for internal and external stakeholders, improving knowledge transfer and supporting the energy transition. You will help ensure our service teams are well prepared and contribute to professionalizing our training structure.

You will shape the Service Training Program, analyze skill gaps, create online, on-site, and hands-on modules, and work with Quality and Health & Safety to ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Power Electronics or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• Experience developing and delivering training at different skill levels.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Alfen’s Service Training Program and strategy.
• Analyze skill gaps and design training programs to bridge them.
• Create training modules in online, on-site, and hands-on formats.
• Collaborate with Quality and Health & Safety to ensure safety standards.
• Set up structures and processes to support training and knowledge sharing.
• Implement certification processes for internal and external professionals.
• Monitor market trends and best practices to keep training methods current.
• Identify commercial opportunities and develop a strategy to offer training as a service.
• Work with Sales to position training commercially and develop customer-focused programs.

What will you do?

As a Technical Trainer at Alfen, you will play a key role in developing and executing training programs for both internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure our service teams are optimally prepared for their tasks while contributing to the professionalization of our training structure. Your work supports the further development of our energy storage systems, smart grids, and EV charging infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities Include

• Developing and implementing Alfen’s Service Training Program and strategy.
• Analyzing skill gaps and designing training programs to bridge them.
• Creating training modules in various formats: online, on-site, and hands-on product training.
• Collaborating with the Quality and Health & Safety teams to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Setting up structures, processes, and systems to support training and knowledge sharing.
• Implementing a certification process for internal and external professionals.
• Monitoring market trends and best practices to keep Alfen at the forefront of training methodologies.
• Identifying commercial opportunities and developing a strategy to offer training as a service.
• Working with the Sales team to commercially position training and develop customer-focused programs.

• The ability to develop a vision and identify opportunities for commercializing training.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
