Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Staff Software Engineer: Platform SRE to own and evolve the engineering infrastructure that powers our global products. You will design and operate reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on AWS, Kubernetes, Helm, Argo, and Terraform.

You will drive observability improvements and CI/CD capabilities while guiding incident response and cross-team collaboration. You will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with product teams, and help shape platform-wide standards,

Qualifications

10+ years of software or infrastructure engineering with production systems.
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, with hands-on AWS experience.
Strong Infrastructure-as-Code skills, preferably Terraform.
Solid software engineering skills and ability to build automation.
Experience leading incident response and blameless post-mortems.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve infrastructure powering Flexport engineering.
Design, build and operate reliable, scalable infrastructure in AWS and cloud platforms.
Evolve container orchestration (Kubernetes) and deployment tooling (Argo, Helm)
Expand observability stack (Datadog, OpenMetrics) and IaC standards (Terraform)
Create and support CI/CD pipelines and build tooling
Improve incident response tooling and cross-team collaboration
