Flexport is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Platform team in Amsterdam. You will own and evolve the developer platform, building paved paths, self-serve tooling, and robust CI/CD pipelines.

You’ll enhance backend/frontend DX, manage GraphQL/gRPC ecosystems, and advance IAM, Kubernetes, and observability to empower hundreds of engineers globally. You’ll collaborate with engineers, ship tooling, and drive impact in a fast-paced, onsite-first environment with flexible work practices at

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with developer platforms or internal tooling.
• Deep full-stack instincts across backend services and frontend build pipelines.
• Strong product sense for internal users and measurement of impact.
• Expertise in several: CI/CD (GitHub Actions), container orchestration (Kubernetes), multi-language build tooling, backend-for-frontend (GraphQL), service-to-service communication (gRPC), metrics and artifact storage.
• Takes pride in addressing tech debt and migrations when needed.
• Independent mindset thriving in ambiguity and proactive problem solving.
• Excellent communication for design docs and developer interviews.
• Helpful attitude to unblock teammates and improve productivity.
• Drive for impact ensuring engineers are productive and confident.

Aufgaben

• Own and evolve the developer platform powering Flexport engineering.
• Develop paved paths and self-serve tooling to simplify engineers' work.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and build tooling for multiple languages.
• Own backend and frontend developer experience improvements.
• Manage GraphQL and gRPC ecosystem, middleware, and schema sharing.
• Evolve IAM primitives for easy and secure defaults.
