Job summary

Jobgether seeks a Staff Engineer, Platform & Infrastructure in the Netherlands to own cloud infrastructure and platform reliability. You will lead BYOC and private-cloud deployments, establish IaC and GitOps foundations, and drive security/compliance across data systems.

You’ll work in a remote-first team with ownership and pragmatic judgment, shaping platform strategy and engineering priorities while solving complex scale challenges.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or related fields with production systems experience.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Experience with BYOC, single-tenant, on-premises or air-gapped environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and scale cloud infrastructure supporting the platform (compute, networking, data-layer).
• Lead BYOC and private-cloud deployments including provisioning, upgrades, and observability.
• Build and improve Infrastructure as Code and GitOps foundations for fast, reliable delivery.
• Establish SLOs, monitoring, and incident-management practices for reliability.
• Evolve critical data infrastructure (PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse) as usage grows.
• Drive security and compliance initiatives (SOC 2, GDPR, ISO audits, pen tests).
• Translate customer requirements into scalable platform capabilities and align with roadmaps.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and participate in incident response.
