Job summary

Jobgether in the Netherlands partners with a company seeking a Head of Engineer - Web3/Crypto to lead engineering across blockchain products, combining hands-on coding with strategic leadership in a distributed, fully remote environment.

You will drive architecture, secure scalable deployments, mentor cross‑functional teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical work with product and risk goals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering or technical management with leadership experience.
• At least 2 years hands-on blockchain development with Solidity/Ethereum.
• Strong understanding of frontend and backend with JS/HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Web3.js and blockchain protocols.
• Experience building and deploying blockchain apps and smart contracts.
• Proficient in TS, Node.js, Express, React, MongoDB, AWS.
• Excellent communication and leadership in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of blockchain capabilities; mentor teams.
• Own technical direction across full SDLC from architecture to deployment.
• Develop scalable, secure applications and databases.
• Build blockchain apps using Solidity, JavaScript, and Web3 libraries.
• Ensure secure transactions and protect digital assets against risks.
• Research emerging blockchain tech and translate to product actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align with product goals.
• Document solutions and maintain system documentation.
• Prepare technical updates addressing crypto risks and activity.
• Manage team goals, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
