Recranet invites a Booking Software Engineer to join our Middelburg-based team, building the back-end of the Recranet Booking app using Symfony. You’ll connect with various external parties via Symfony and Python Cloud Functions and help shape the development strategy.

Candidates should have PHP (OO) and SQL experience, Symfony, Doctrine, Composer, and Git proficiency, and a customer-focused, collaborative mindset. A non-smoker policy applies, with relocation assistance to Zeeland if needed.

Job Opening Recranet Booking Software Engineer

With Recranet Booking, our channel manager, websites, online marketing, and Recranet Real Estate, we help holiday parks, campsites, rental organizations, and other tourism players grow, automate, and achieve more bookings. Recranet positions itself as the online specialist for the tourism and recreational sector and operates from Middelburg.

Responsibilities
  • You work on the back-end of the Recranet Booking application based on Symfony.
  • You work on various connections and integrations with different parties (Symfony and Python Cloud Functions).
  • You make decisions about the optimal development strategy.
  • You work with open-source software and use the most relevant extensions for a project.

  • You have (work) experience with PHP (object-oriented) and SQL.

Experience with the following is not required, but gives you an advantage!

  • You have (work) experience with Python.
  • You have experience with TypeScript.
  • You have experience with the frameworks AngularJS and Angular (TypeScript).
  • You have experience with SASS and Bootstrap 4.
  • You have experience with the development of REST APIs.
  • You have experience with Python and Shell scripting for specific applications.
  • You work with macOS or Linux and use tools such as Homebrew (on macOS), Vagrant (Homestead), and Gulp.

  • At Recranet, we value loyalty with an increasing bonus: after 3 years you receive €375, after 5 years €995, after 10 years €1,250, after 15 years €1,750, after 20 years €2,250, after 25 years €2,750, after 30 years €3,250, after 35 years €3,750 and after 40 years €5,000 (based on full-time employment).
