Job summary

Catawiki in Amsterdam is seeking a senior designer to shape the seller and expert experience. You will lead design across discovery, submission and curation, turning complex workflows into clear, delightful experiences that help sellers get started and experts select great objects.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data and other designers from research to launch, using prototyping, design systems and AI-assisted ideas to test and learn.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience designing digital products, preferably in ecommerce or marketplaces.
• Strong interaction design, prototyping and visual communication skills.
• Experience conducting or contributing to customer research and translating insights into design decisions.
• Fluency with Figma and prototyping tools; able to explain design decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead design for important parts of the seller and expert experience, from early discovery through launch and improvement.
• Use customer research, behavioural data and business insight to identify needs and design opportunities.
• Turn ambiguous customer problems into clear journeys, concepts, prototypes and design plans.
• Explore and test ideas with customers and colleagues, using what you learn to improve the experience.
• Create thoughtful interaction and interface designs, prototypes and service flows that make complex tasks clear and intuitive.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, UX Writers and other designers to shape and deliver solutions.
• Connect customer needs with business goals and technical constraints, helping the team make sound tradeoffs.
• Contribute to design systems and shared patterns that create coherent experiences across Catawiki.
• Share your design rationale, bring feedback into the process and help stakeholders reach clear decisions.
• Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to explore ideas and test assumptions when they help solve a meaningful customer problem.
