Job summary

Stoneridge is seeking a Subsystem Engineer to translate stakeholder and customer requirements into detailed camera system specifications and architecture. You will define subsystem behavior and interfaces, ensuring integration with software, hardware, and operating environment.

The role requires 5+ years in systems engineering, preferably in automotive or heavy equipment, with strong collaboration across software, safety, cybersecurity, and mechanical teams to maintain camera FMEA and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience.
• Experience translating stakeholder and customer requirements into detailed subsystem specifications.
• Strong proficiency in defining system architecture and interfaces for camera systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer and business needs into clear, prioritized system requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architecture, elements, and interface definitions; conduct design reviews.
• Perform system modeling, simulations, and trade-off analyses to support decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, safety, cybersecurity, electrical and mechanical engineering, verification, and project management.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes, including camera FMEA.
