Job summary

Stoneridge is seeking a Director of Engineering, Camera to lead a multidisciplinary team in delivering next-generation CMS and ADAS vision systems across Europe. The role shapes architecture, safety compliance, and scalable delivery, impacting vehicle safety and driver experience.

The position requires hands-on leadership, end-to-end system ownership, and collaboration with Business Development, Product Line Management, and Program Management to exceed launch expectations.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years in automotive engineering with focus on CMS, imaging and ADAS/vision-based systems.
• Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role, preferably in a global automotive organization.
• Knowledge of sensor+optics integration, ISP tuning, and UN R46 homologation is a strong advantage.
• Experience with automotive development methodologies and core tools; awareness of SOTIF.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end CMS/ADAS system architecture across sensors, optics, ISP, ECU and display integration.
• Ensure delivery of homologation-ready CMS solutions compliant with UN R46, focusing on low latency, high reliability, and safety.
• Monitor engineering progress, oversight, and ensure targets for budget, quality, delivery, and functionality are met.
• Drive platform scalability and cost optimization across product lines.
• Define & execute camera product line strategy and collaborate with Business Development, Product Line Management, and Program Management.
