Job summary

Vinted is seeking a Senior SRE Engineer II in the Observability Infra team to build and operate platforms that process metrics, logs, and traces from thousands of servers and dozens of Kubernetes clusters across regions.

You will develop backend services, libraries, and automation primarily in Go, with Kubernetes, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch. Hybrid role based in Amsterdam and includes on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Back-end software engineering with production Go experience.
• Experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes.
• Ability to design maintainable distributed systems.
• Understanding of reliability, monitoring, and safe deployments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and automation for observability platforms.
• Build and operate reliable, scalable services and stateful workloads on Kubernetes.
• Develop self-service capabilities for engineering teams using metrics, logs, and traces.
• Evolve Prometheus, Thanos, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch-based platforms.
• Lead initiatives from design to production and participate in on-call rotations.
