Vinted in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior SRE Engineer II to join the Observability Infra team, building and operating the software and infrastructure behind Vinted’s observability platforms. These platforms handle metrics, logs, and traces from thousands of servers and many Kubernetes clusters across regions.

You’ll develop backend services, libraries, and automation primarily with Go and Kubernetes, taking ownership from design through deployment and production operation, shaping the team’s

Qualifications

• Backend software engineering with production experience in Go.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes.
• Ability to design maintainable distributed systems and own them through production lifecycle.
• Understanding of reliability, scalability, monitoring, safe deployments, and failure recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, and automation for observability platforms.
• Build and operate reliable, scalable services and stateful workloads on Kubernetes.
• Develop self-service capabilities for engineering using metrics, logs, and traces products.
• Evolve Prometheus, Thanos, OpenTelemetry, and Elasticsearch-based platforms.
• Lead technical initiatives from design to production and drive technical direction.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for observability products.
