Job summary

Via Logistics in Venray is seeking a Senior Transport Coordinator to manage international transport operations and drive improvements in service levels and costs. You will work closely with carriers, warehouses and customers to ensure reliable transport solutions and to support optimization projects across the network.

The role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional with 5–10 years of experience in transport, logistics or SCM, and a strong command of English and Dutch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation or related field.
• 5–10 years experience in transport, logistics or supply chain with international coordination.
• Experience with carrier management, transport performance monitoring, and contract negotiations.
• Knowledge of multiple transport modes and Transport Management Systems.
• Proficiency in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily transportation activities to ensure on-time delivery performance.
• Manage transport capacity, schedules and operational exceptions.
• Build and maintain relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
• Monitor carrier performance and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Analyze transportation costs and performance data to identify improvements.
• Support optimization initiatives related to routing, load utilisation and carrier allocation.
• Participate in transport projects and contribute to standardisation and continuous improvement.
• Support RFQs and assess transportation solutions for new and existing customers.
• Prepare and facilitate carrier reviews, including MBRs and QBRs.
• Contribute to transportation digitisation and automation initiatives.
