Job summary

DeltaQuad in Amsterdam is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own architecture, development and integration of electronic hardware for UAV platforms. You will work across electronics, software, systems, quality and production to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable designs.

This role blends architecture, hands-on engineering and technical leadership, with a strong emphasis on rapid prototyping and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of professional experience in embedded electronics or electronic product development.
• Strong PCB design experience across architecture, schematic and multi-layer layouts.
• Deep understanding of embedded electronics and hardware/software integration.
• Knowledge of RF systems and EMC/EMI principles.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and moving from idea to working hardware.
• Experience designing for reliability, manufacturability and testability.
• Proven track record of bringing products into high-volume or series production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex electronic hardware for UAV systems.
• Define electronic architectures from concept through industrialization and production.
• Design, review and troubleshoot analogue and digital electronics, power electronics and interfaces.
• Own PCB architecture, schematic design and PCB development.
• Rapidly develop and validate prototypes to prove concepts and reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Embedded Software Engineers on hardware/software integration.
• Support RF design and integration, including antenna and communication systems.
• Apply EMC/EMI principles throughout development and perform hands-on testing.
• Ensure reliability and production-readiness for field deployment and lifecycle support.
• Mentor junior and medior engineers and contribute to team growth.
