Job summary

DeltaQuad in the Netherlands is seeking a Mechanical Design / Creative Engineer to design, prototype and bring to life advanced mechanical and structural solutions for UAV systems. You will focus on sensor integration, RF payloads, and lightweight, high‑performance components, working at the intersection of creativity and execution.

You will transform field feedback, failure data and real‑world insights into rapid design improvements, collaborating with Integration, Flight Test and Software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial Design, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Approximately 3–8 years of experience in UAVs, aerospace, robotics, or advanced hardware.
• Proven experience delivering real‑world hardware (frames, gimbals, radomes, sensor pods).
• Comfortable working in fast design–build–test cycles.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimise mechanical components, sensor mounts, RF structures and payload integrations.
• Develop complex 3D CAD models and assemblies in SolidWorks (surfacing, configurations).
• Leverage additive manufacturing for rapid prototyping and low‑volume production.
• Design for manufacturability with tolerances, wall thickness and post‑processing.
