Job summary

Green Energy Storage B.V. seeks a Lead Engineer to take technical ownership of major BESS projects from design through commissioning. Based at Breda, you will steer technical integrity, safety and grid compliance for projects in the Netherlands and abroad.

You will coordinate with Tier‑1 integrators and BoP contractors, define technical requirements, support permits and tenders, and mentor others while traveling between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience in energy, high‑voltage, or industrial infrastructure projects.
• Solid knowledge of electrical systems and medium/high‑voltage grid connections.
• Experience with BESS, power conversion, or renewable energy projects is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record reviewing designs against specs and grid codes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Fluent in English; willingness to travel between sites, suppliers and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical requirements, design basis, and specifications of the project.
• Lead design reviews of single‑line diagrams and site layouts.
• Manage interfaces between BESS, BoP, high‑voltage, and grid connection scopes.
• Provide input for environmental permits, tenders, bid evaluations, and variations.
• Safeguard quality and safety in design and execution, including FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Guide the project from design into construction and ensure complete as‑built handover.
