Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a major Battery Energy Storage System project in the Netherlands, focusing on grid connection requirements, Dutch electrical standards, and regulatory compliance. You will review designs and ensure alignment with local regulations across development and execution phases.

The role involves occasional travel to the Netherlands, with a contract duration from Oct 2026 to Apr 2027 (with potential through Jun 2029).

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience with utility-scale BESS, renewables, or grid projects.
• In-depth knowledge of Dutch electrical standards and grid connections.
• Experience reviewing HV/MV designs, protection, and cable systems.
• Fluent Dutch and English with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on Dutch grid connection requirements and regulatory compliance.
• Review HV/MV designs, specs, drawings, and datasheets for compliance.
• Support development and review of grid connection, protection, earthing, and metering docs.
• Identify compliance risks and communicate gaps to project stakeholders.
• Contribute to Basic Design deliverables: SLDs, protection philosophies, cables, earthing.
• Support tendering activities and bid evaluations from a compliance perspective.
• Assist project teams with interpretation of local electrical standards and energy regulations.
