EMEA EPC Project Engineer - Energy Storage & Renewables

Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and optimization software, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to drive EPC turnkey projects across the EMEA region. You will coordinate internal and external teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and quality in execution of PV, BESS, and high‑voltage systems.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years’ experience in utility-scale power projects, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and execution of utility-scale power systems, PV plants, BESS, or similar energy infrastructure in EMEA.
• Strong EPC project leadership for high-voltage systems and renewable energy projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; other European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements and are constructible within country/regional constraints.
• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with Fluence quality processes and ISO 9001.
• Drive value engineering and innovative approaches to improve system design and outcomes.
• Support procurement with specifications and evaluations of proposals.
• Review designs for compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations.
• Take full technical responsibility for assigned EPC turnkey projects including HV systems.
• Manage technical escalations and resolve engineering and execution challenges.
• Execute projects in line with Fluence safety requirements and KPIs.
• Travel across the EMEA region to support project execution and stakeholder engagement.
