Job summary

Booking.com is seeking an AI Risk & Compliance Officer to join the TRO Risk Management team as a senior individual contributor. You will identify, assess, treat, monitor, and report AI and GenAI risks across the lifecycle, translating regulatory expectations into practical requirements for AI systems.

You will partner with AI governance, security, legal, and engineering teams to ensure risk decisions are traceable, measurable, and embedded in risk processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Experience assessing and managing risks in complex technology environments, including AI/GenAI.
• Strong understanding of AI lifecycle risks across data, model, and operations.
• Knowledge of AI governance and risk frameworks (NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act, ISO 42001).
• Familiarity with security risks (prompt injection, data leakage, third-party risks).
• Ability to translate technical controls into risk-based language for audits.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Risk Partner to platform owners, tailoring compliance requirements to AI deployments.
• Architect guardrails for secure and compliant AI systems development.
• Lead or perform risk assessments for new AI initiatives and high-impact changes.
• Maintain the AI Risk Inventory and monitor risk indicators and metrics.
• Deliver data-driven risk insights and coordinate responses to assurance activities.
