Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Risk Manager to oversee risk management activities supporting tech/product teams within a Business Unit. You will advise stakeholders across Booking.com and act as a point of contact for risk and compliance communities.

The role involves enabling BU leadership in risk management, supporting IT governance, SOx, GDPR compliance, and collaboration with 2nd line and audit. English fluency is required, with experience in large tech/e‑commerce environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Risk Management.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (Master’s Degree preferable).
• Advanced risk management & compliance knowledge including IT Governance, Operational Risk, SOx/ICOFR/COSO.
• Experience with GDPR, DMA, DSA, FCRM is advantageous.
• Experience with Cybersecurity, Cloud, Data, AI domains is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Enables BU Leadership in effective risk management implementation.
• Advises tech/operational teams in risk ID, assessment, and controls design.
• Supports risk management activities across tech & operations teams.
• Monitors risks and controls; reports to BU LT and stakeholders.
• Coordinates audit activities and remediation; collaborates with 2nd line and audit.
• Coaches junior risk professionals; drives maturity of risk management across Booking.com.
