You will design and build core backend systems enabling AI-powered experiences at scale, collaborating with ML engineers and data scientists across global teams. The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and deployment of AI models in production.

You will tackle complex challenges in scalable architecture, data pipelines, and real-time inference, while contributing to the evolution of AI infrastructure at Booking.com.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering with backend/platform focus.
• Experience building distributed systems at scale with observability and reliability.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience integrating AI/ML models into production systems.
• Experience with containerization and cloud deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate architecture solutions for AI infrastructure.
• Prototype and validate key AI infrastructure decisions.
• Build scalable backend services for real-time AI inference and data pipelines.
