Job summary

Validio is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the team in Amsterdam. You will partner with Account Executives, translate data challenges into value, and lead proof-of-value engagements from criteria to data-driven outcomes.

You will deliver tailored demos, engage both engineers and executives, and create scalable demos, playbooks, and assets that accelerate the sales cycle. 5+ years in pre-sales or sales engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years proven experience in pre-sales, solutions or sales engineering.
• Fluency with the modern data stack (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, dbt, Looker, Tableau) and strong SQL.
• The rare ability to hold a room of engineers and a room of executives, and connect technical capability to business value.
• Ownership instinct — you move deals forward without waiting to be told how.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AEs on deal strategy and qualify where Validio wins.
• Run technical discovery with business data and engineering teams, and map their challenges to our platform.
• Own proof-of-value engagements end to end — from success criteria to the moment the data speaks for itself.
• Deliver tailored demos and turn technical evaluators into internal champions.
• Be the trusted technical voice for prospects, and carry their reality back to Product and Engineering.
• Build the demos, playbooks, and reusable assets that scale how we sell.
