Job summary

Datadog is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to provide technical expertise through sales presentations, demos, and POVs. You will qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners and relay feedback to the product team to prioritize features.

The role involves travel and close collaboration with sales, engineering, and customers to showcase the Datadog value proposition. You will own the technical engagement during trials, deliver briefings, and work with customers to address

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in programming/scripting with Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, PHP, and .NET.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Datadog's value proposition, vision and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase and communicate value to resolve issues.
• Technically close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical briefings / presentations to potential clients.
• Maintain accurate notes and feedback in CRM regarding customer input, wins and losses.
• Proactively engage with customers and Datadog teams regarding product feedback and competitive landscape.
