Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Operations Agent – Road to coordinate day-to-day import/export shipments via road for our Ship Spares division. You will qualify customer requirements, prepare quotes, set schedules and liaise with customers, carriers and ports to ensure on-time performance.

You’ll track progress, address delays, ensure regulatory compliance (DG/TSA/ITAR where relevant) and work with local teams to meet KPIs and billing timelines. Fluency in English and Dutch is required.

Qualifications

• Min. 2 years of experience as an Air Freight Forwarder.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Proficient PC skills; CargoWise experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ITAR, Dangerous Goods or TSA regulations.
• VGB security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import/export shipments by road for international freight forwarding.
• Qualify customer shipping requirements and gather all details for quotes.
• Prepare profitable quotations and set shipping schedules.
• Communicate with customers, deliverers and ports on loading/ departures/ arrivals.
• Track shipments, resolve delays or issues, and update systems in real time.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations for Dangerous Goods where applicable.
• Collaborate with sales, operations and logistics partners to meet KPIs.
• Ensure accurate billing and adherence to SOPs and timelines.
