Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer in the Netherlands to own features end-to-end, combining frontend work with Next.js and backend work with Django/PostgreSQL.

You will work closely with the founder in a remote-first setup to shape the product, improve UX, and integrate AI capabilities into 3D workflows. You should have strong autonomy, 5+ years of experience, and a passion for building polished experiences for a large user base.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping web products.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and Django with PostgreSQL.
• Experience managing servers and Linux environments.
• Strong product sense and attention to UX/UI details.
• Ownership of products used by real customers, startup experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives end-to-end.
• Proficiency with AI tools to enhance productivity and engineering quality.
• Interest in 3D models and related workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own features from ideation through design, implementation, and release.
• Build polished UI with Next.js; backend with Django and PostgreSQL.
• Integrate third-party AI models and turn AI capabilities into product features.
• Maintain platform reliability and handle large user data volumes.
• Ensure high UX/UI quality with attention to interactions and visuals.
• Learn 3D workflows and contribute to pipelines and formats.
• Identify opportunities for new features based on user needs.
• Leverage AI-powered coding tools to boost productivity.
