Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Engineering Manager, Pricing & Revenue in Europe (Netherlands-based) to lead the architecture, delivery, and reliability of our pricing and hotel-portfolio systems. You’ll own a pricing engine, search systems across ~200 suppliers, and autonomous teams delivering measurable commercial impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams while still contributing to architecture and production systems.
• Strong backend engineering expertise with substantial Go experience.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, latency optimization, high-volume APIs, concurrency, reliability engineering.
• Experience designing or improving marketplace, trading, pricing, or optimization systems with supply and demand.
• Understanding of pricing, inventory, distribution and fulfilment in a marketplace.
• Ability to translate commercial objectives into robust architectures delivering measurable results.
• Experience with real-world inventory like travel or e-commerce platforms is valuable.
• Excellent leadership and communication to align with product and commercial priorities.
• Comfort in fast-moving environments with ambiguity and autonomy.
• Hands-on problem-solving mindset for challenging systems with direct business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction, architecture, reliability, and delivery of the Pricing & Revenue domain.
• Design and develop a sophisticated pricing engine balancing supplier availability, demand, competitiveness, distribution, and margins.
• Build high-performance hotel search systems handling queries across ~200 suppliers with low latency.
• Develop trading capabilities including automated rebooking workflows for internal operations and potential customer-facing products.
• Improve search availability and booking fulfilment to ensure reservations complete.
• Remain hands-on with architecture, code, system design, and production troubleshooting while guiding execution.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small engineering team including recruitment and development.
• Collaborate with Product and Trading to translate commercial challenges into technical solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Own engineering decisions and production systems, improving scalability, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and move quickly with minimal overhead.
