Jobgether in the Netherlands seeks an Engineering Manager - Payments Integrations to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering global payment integrations. You will own technical direction, architecture, and production operations while working with product, compliance, and business stakeholders.

The role focuses on low-latency backends, scalable APIs, and AI-assisted development in a fast-moving environment. This is a fully remote opportunity spanning Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading and growing engineering teams.
• Strong backend engineering leadership and architectural decision making.
• Hands-on Go (Golang) production experience.
• Experience with microservices and modern integration patterns.
• Security and compliant software development practices.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and drive technical excellence.
• Hire, mentor, coach engineers across levels with clear development paths.
• Own end-to-end payment integrations with PSPs, acquirers, and gateways.
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance, reviews, and complex troubleshooting.
• Set engineering standards for coding, testing, observability, and docs.
• Ensure secure development practices and data privacy compliance.
• Guide API and integration framework evolution for scale across markets.
• Promote AI-first engineering practices and automated testing.
