The role combines leadership, technical depth in payments, and cross-functional influence to partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, and external partners.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of direct line management experience of technical or hybrid teams.
• Strong understanding of payments, card schemes, and API-based integrations.
• Experience driving operational improvements and building scalable processes.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional influencing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a global team of Payment Partner Engineers.
• Define and drive a vision for the Payments Partner Engineering function, shifting from reactive to proactive work.
• Own integration health across Adyen's payment methods, focusing on reliability and performance.
• Drive strategic architectural recommendations for optimal partner integration with Adyen.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Compliance, and Reliability teams to act as the technical voice of the partner.
• Establish relationships with payment partners at senior levels and participate in QBRs and joint planning.
