Job summary

DoiT is seeking an Engineering Manager for Analytics House. You will lead a hands-on, player-coach team delivering cloud-native analytics software in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment.

You will mentor engineers, own delivery, drive architecture and AI-augmented initiatives, and partner with Product to align roadmaps with business goals across international teams. The role emphasizes shipping, quality, mentorship, and scalable systems across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management roles where you actively coded
• Hands-on, real-life experience building cloud-based SaaS products - running services in production on AWS, GCP, or Azure, and owning availability, cost, and the customer-facing surface
• API first mindset, products are built not just for end user experience through UI, they are fully functional and available through APIs
• Strong background in databases, SQL, query optimization, and BigQuery
• A track record of taking an engineering team and visibly transforming it - measurable improvements in delivery velocity, technical quality, or team caliber
• Deep technical fluency in your team's primary stack; current and able to read, write, and review code at a senior level
• Strong opinions on how high-performing engineering teams operate, and a clear philosophy on hiring, coaching, performance management, and technical decision-making
• Excellent judgment under pressure; direct, candid communication; responsible for outcomes

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, owning both its delivery and its development
• Drive a mindset of continuous improvement and growth within the team
• Develop engineers through regular 1:1s, growth plans, performance reviews, and candid feedback
• Develop the next layer of leadership - tech leads, senior engineers, and ICs for staff roles
• Write code and review code; be a credible voice in technical decisions
• Lead architectural and technical design decisions in partnership with senior ICs
• Uphold engineering standards with thorough PR reviews and a healthy release process
• Operate an AI-augmented team and apply AI tools to improve velocity and quality
• Own hiring for your team; interview, decide quickly, maintain high standards
• Communicate clearly with leadership and empower engineers to own product areas
• Collaborate with Product, Design, GTM, and Customer Success for cross-team alignment
