Job summary

SearchApi is seeking an Engineering Manager to own end-to-end delivery, surface risks early, and drive outcomes through clear written decisions. You will lead a small, high-output team and be the first escalation point when things break, while shaping a lightweight, effective process that scales with the company.

You will work remotely, forecast delivery performance, and build a pipeline that hires and grows capable managers as the team expands. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Must have shipped delivery improvements with measurable impact.
• Demonstrated ability to unblock teams with clear processes.
• Excellent written communication and decision making.
• Calm under incidents and able to lead blameless RCA.
• Experience hiring at a high bar and growing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Run the cadences: planning, standups, and retros. Keep them lightweight and useful.
• Track every active project and surface risk before it becomes a fire.
• Own delivery metrics: cycle time, latency, reliability, with humane use.
• Command incidents, coordinate responses, perform blameless RCAs.
• Grow the team: 1:1s, coaching, and a hiring pipeline with scorecards.
