Job summary

SISL Global in Rotterdam is seeking an L2 Desktop Support Technician to provide advanced technical assistance for end-users, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain hardware and software systems for optimal performance.

You will install and configure operating systems, manage Active Directory and group policies, and deliver remote support for home and field users while mentoring junior technicians and upholding IT security policies.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of desktop support experience.
• Familiar with Windows and macOS.
• Experience with Active Directory and group policies.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certification Desktop Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software updates.
• Perform root-cause analysis to identify recurring issues and develop solutions.
• Troubleshoot Windows and Mac break/fix issues.
• Assist with LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity.
• Collaborate on IT projects, upgrades, and implementations.
• Maintain records of work and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Provide remote support for remote workers and field users.
• Train and mentor junior technicians.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
• Build strong relationships with end users and ensure satisfaction.
