Job summary

Føn Energy Services is expanding its Offshore Wind Project Management team. The Project Manager will oversee projects from initiation to close-out, coordinating resources, and ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects with international exposure. You will work closely with senior management, external contractors, and customers, reporting to the Project Director of Offshore Wind Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years track record in project management.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Dutch and English.
• Willing to travel and/or work abroad for short periods (mobilization/demobilization).

• Establish governance, reporting structures, and status updates.
• Monitor performance with stage gates, dashboards, and risk registers.
• Capture and share lessons learned to drive future improvements.

We are experiencing an increased demand for our services in offshore wind and are looking to expand our team of Project Managers will multiple positions. The positions are based in IJmuiden (NL) and remote working solutions will not be considered.

Purpose and scope of the position

As a Project Manager, you will be overseeing and delivering projects, from providing input during the commercial process, coordinating preparations and mobilization of resources, through to the safely, on-time and within budget completion of the project life cycle. You will work closely with senior management colleagues, external contractors and customers alike, whereby you are directly responsible for all aspects of project execution and completion as per internal and external safety and quality standards.

The position reports to Project Director of Offshore Wind Services.

• Establish and maintain project governance, reporting structures, and status updates.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and methodologies (e.g., stage gates, dashboards, risk registers).
• Capture and share lessons learned to drive continuous improvement across future projects.

Quality Management

• Use the NCR management system and monitor open actions.
• Provide comprehensive requirements across functions.
• Ensure compliance with competency, training, and capacity requirements.
• Take ownership of coordination activities within project execution.
• Collaborate with teams to share lessons learned and optimize project flow.

Commercial Management

• Actively work on identifying and selling new orders.
• Monthly verification of OPS results and oversee actions.
• Manage the status of the P&L.
• Manage forecast on expected revenue, billing, and margins.
• Provide and manage essential financial input on monthly reports.

Leadership

• Proactively manage customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Demonstrate problem-solving, process improvement, and analytical skills.
• Collaborate and motivate teams within an operational and matrix environment.
• Responsible for personnel follow-up of subordinates.
