Job summary

Key Plant Automation Ltd is seeking an experienced Manual Horizontal Borer / Milling Machinist to join our production environment in Leek. The role requires setting and operating large manual machines, reading engineering drawings, and performing precision machining with tight tolerances.

We offer in-house training, pension options (NEST), holiday entitlement, and a yearly attendance bonus. Overtime is flexible and there is opportunities for progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large manual machines.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use height gauges, micrometres and vernier to measure finished parts.
• Machining precision components to tight tolerances.
• Be safety minded and ensure high quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate manual machines including horizontal borers and vertical planers.
• Machine fabrications and components to tight tolerances.
• Perform quality checks and inspections during production.
• Read drawings and select appropriate measuring tools.
• Work as part of a team or independently to meet targets.
