Job summary

PROBAT in Koog aan de Zaan seeks an Allround Operator Machining / CNC Lathe Operator to work independently on the production of complex components for our machines. You will operate multiple machines, monitor process and quality, and collaborate on diverse projects with the machining team.

The role combines hands-on machining with basic CNC programming, allows involvement in Fanuc/Heidenhain controls, and requires a solid technical background, accuracy and teamwork in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Solid technical background with focus on quality, progress and collaboration.
• Several years of relevant machining experience in a production environment.
• Experience with conventional and CNC turning and milling machines.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming, CAD/CAM and offline programming.
• Good understanding of machining techniques, materials, measurement methods and ISO fits and tolerances.
• Experience using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Accurate, proactive, flexible and quality-oriented.
• Team-oriented and able to work independently within planning and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review technical drawings and work preparation data.
• Independently determine clamping, tools and machining sequence for each assignment.
• Set up and operate multiple conventional and CNC machines.
• Perform milling, boring and drilling on complex parts.
• Carry out CNC machining operations.
• Perform basic programming tasks (Fanuc & Heidenhain) and program adjustments within defined limits.
• Monitor product quality through intermediate measurements and control points.
• Identify deviations and take appropriate action within guidelines.
• Complete measurement reports and record time per order.
• Determine efficient work sequence within weekly planning.
• Switch between machines and operations based on production needs.
• Perform first-line maintenance and resolve minor malfunctions where possible.
• Transfer finished products and relevant Production information to next operation.
• Work according to safety, environmental, occupational health and quality requirements.
