Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide technical support and expertise to customers, regional teams and Field Service, serving as the reference for technical questions in the area.

You will ensure timely handling of cases, maintain a clear exchange of information with internal stakeholders, update Installed Base Management with machine data, and identify improvements for commercial opportunities while creating and maintaining service documentation.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical- or Software engineering or equivalent working experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong technical background on high-level food processing equipment and control systems.
• Proactive with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in field service or technical support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve cases online/remotely and/or decide on follow-up actions in a timely manner, according to the escalation process.
• Advice and inform internal stakeholders on technical solutions and case status.
• Ensure that field service engineers’ debriefings are processed, and Customer Support is informed on follow up actions.
• Update and/or register machine information in Installed Base Management system.
• Identify technical improvements which can be used for potential commercial opportunities.
• Is responsible for creating and maintaining service documentation (Service Info, Service Letter and Service Notice).
• Monitor, evaluate and coordinate reported technical feedback and identify structural issues from reported technical feedback.
• Be the central point for supporting the knowledge build up in the regions and the industry/product group.
