Job summary

Marel in the Netherlands is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide expert technical support for high-level food processing equipment. The role involves remote case handling, coordinating with regional Technical Support teams and Field Service, and maintaining service documentation.

You will ensure timely case resolution, update installed base data, and identify improvements for commercial opportunities while supporting knowledge growth across regions and product groups.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical- or Software engineering or matching working experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong technical background on high-level food processing equipment and Control Systems.
• Proactive with analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in field service or technical support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Solve cases online/remotely and/or decide on follow-up actions in a timely manner, according to the escalation process.
• Advice and inform internal stakeholders on technical solutions and case status.
• Ensure that field service engineers’ debriefings are processed, and Customer Support is informed on follow up actions.
• Update and/or register machine information in Installed Base Management system.
• Identify technical improvements which can be used for potential commercial opportunities.
• Is responsible for creating and maintaining service documentation (Service Info, Service Letter and Service Notice).
• Monitor, evaluate and coordinate reported technical feedback and identify structural issues from reported technical feedback.
• Be the central point for supporting the knowledge build up in the regions and the industry/product group.
