Job summary

JD.com Inc. is seeking a Global Payroll Manager to own Pan-EU payroll across the UK, France, Netherlands, Germany and beyond. This hybrid role requires hands-on leadership, strong regional expertise, and a track record of compliant, scalable payroll operations.

You will oversee external vendor partnerships, manage data flows with HR and Finance, and drive process optimisations using automation. Mandarin Chinese and English fluency are required to collaborate with our global HQ.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in-house global/European payroll experience.
• Strong expertise in French payroll compliance; German payroll or other major European jurisdictions is preferred.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
• Ability to lead complex payroll initiatives, manage external vendors, and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: lead end-to-end payroll processing across Pan-EU.
• Regional Expertise: manage payrolls in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Italy, and the UK.
• Vendor & Partner Management: oversee vendors, SLAs, and performance metrics.
• Compliance & Audit: ensure compliance with local laws, tax rules, and social security across jurisdictions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: coordinate with HR, Legal, Finance, and Global Mobility.
• Process Standardisation & Transformation: design scalable payroll operations and drive automation.
